This Privacy Policy explains how S A Engineering ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use this website or contact us. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them.
1. Who is responsible for your data
S A Engineering, 99/C, Raipur–Bhilai–Durg Expressway, Light Industrial Area, Bhilai, Durg, Chhattisgarh 490026, India, is responsible for your personal data (the "data fiduciary"). You can contact us about privacy on +91 98931 36100, email info@saengineeringindia.com, by post at the address above, or through our Contact page. See section 12 for our grievance officer.
2. Information you give us
When you use the quote builder, the contact form or any other form on the website, we collect the details you enter:
- your name, mobile number and, if you give it, your email address;
- the type of customer you are (for example industry, railways, contractor or trader);
- the product you are interested in and your requirement, such as size, length, quantity, drawing or standard number, and any notes.
When you call us, write to us or message us on WhatsApp, we keep the details of that conversation needed to respond, quote and supply. Please do not send us sensitive personal data, such as financial account details or health information. We do not need it to answer an enquiry.
3. Information collected automatically
When you visit the website or send an enquiry, we automatically record:
- your IP address, and an approximate location (city, state and country) worked out from it;
- the page you sent the enquiry from, the website that referred you, and campaign information in the web address (for example "utm" tags and ad click identifiers from Google or Meta);
- technical information that your browser sends, such as browser type, device and the pages you request, which our web server keeps in its logs for security and troubleshooting;
- information from cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 6.
4. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry: to contact you, understand your requirement, prepare a quotation and follow up.
- To supply products and services: to process and deliver orders and keep the business records that go with them.
- To run and protect the website: to keep it secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix problems.
- To improve the website and measure our advertising: only where you have accepted analytics and advertising cookies.
- To meet legal obligations: for example tax, accounting and other records we are required to keep, or requests from authorities.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. Your consent
When you submit a form, you consent to us processing the details you provide for the purposes in section 4. We also process data where the law permits it without consent, for example to comply with a legal obligation. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us (section 12). Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out, and we may still keep records the law requires us to keep.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. We also use your browser's local storage for the same kind of purpose. We use:
| Type | What it does | When it is used |
| Essential | Keeps the website working and secure: a session cookie, a security token that protects forms, and a record of your cookie choice. If shown, a pop-up may store that it has been seen so it does not repeat. | Always. The website cannot work properly without these. |
| Spam protection | Google reCAPTCHA may check that forms are sent by a person and not a bot. | When forms are submitted, if enabled. |
| Analytics | Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, helps us understand how visitors use the website. | Only after you choose "Accept all". |
| Advertising | Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel measure whether our ads lead to enquiries. | Only after you choose "Accept all". |
Until you make a choice, analytics and advertising cookies stay switched off. You can change your choice at any time: open cookie settings, or use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the website may then not work.
If you accept advertising cookies and send an enquiry, your email address and phone number may be shared with Google and Meta in a scrambled (hashed) form, only so they can tell us whether an ad led to the enquiry.
7. Who we share data with
We share personal data only as needed for the purposes above, with:
- Service providers who work for us: our website hosting provider; Google (Google Workspace email, used to send new-enquiry alerts to our team, and reCAPTCHA); and an IP location service that converts IP addresses into an approximate location.
- Services built into the website: Google Maps (map on the Contact page), Google Fonts and public content-delivery networks (jsDelivr and cdnjs) that supply fonts and website code. These services receive your IP address when your browser loads them.
- Analytics and advertising partners: Google and Meta, only if you accept those cookies.
- WhatsApp and other platforms: when you choose to contact us there, your message is handled under that platform's own privacy policy.
- Authorities and advisers: where the law requires it, to protect our legal rights, or with our professional advisers under confidentiality.
- A future owner: if our business or part of it is reorganised or sold, the records needed to continue the business.
Our service providers may only use your data to provide their service to us.
8. Data outside India
Some of the providers above, such as Google and Meta, may process data on servers outside India. Where data is transferred outside India, we do so as permitted under Indian law.
9. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond to you and manage our business relationship, generally up to three years after our last contact with you. Records connected with orders, invoices and payments are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Web server logs are kept for a short period for security. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
10. How we protect your data
We use reasonable security practices to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our admin system, and limiting access to staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach occurs, we will act as the law requires.
11. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it;
- ask us to correct, complete or update your personal data;
- ask us to erase your personal data, unless we must keep it by law;

- nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity;
- have your grievances addressed by us, and if you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these rights, contact us as described in section 12. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
